Yuhang
District of Hangzhou city in Zhejiang province is located in the
south of Hangjiahu plain, on the west of it lies Tianmu mountain,
on the east, the Qiantang River. It is a very important passgeway
for Hangzhou to Jiangsu, Shanghai and An'hui.
Being the birthplace of "liangzhu Culture"---the
primitive culture of Changjiang River, Yuhang District, a place
propitious for giving birth to great men and is branded with Wuyue
culture with its attractive scenery and many historic sites.
Located in Yuhang District in Hangzhou, with
An'xi ancient town on its north, Dongtiao River on its south, Dongmingshan
Forest Park belongs to Tianmu Mountain range, being in the area
of "Liangzhu Culture remains". The Forest Park is composed of Dongmingshan
forest and Kangmen forest, with the whole area of 6954 mu and 95%
forest coverage.
The transportation in Dongmingshan Forest Park
is very convenient since it is only 30 minutes'drive to West Lake
in Hangzhou and 4.5 kilometers to National Highway. With Shanghai
on its east, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi on its north. There are also
a series of tourism areas around it, such as Tianmu mountain, Moganshan
tourism area, Haining tide-view spot, Fuchun River, and Thousand
lslet lake thus, a golden area of tourism is formed.
Dongmingshan Forest Park and other places of
interest such as Tongjingshan, Chaoshan scenic spots, stela inscriptions
in Yuan Dynasty, the tomb of Shen Kuo---a scientist in Song Dynasty,
Luyu spring of Luyu, the former luyu of Zhang Taiyan, Wu Changshuo
Museum. Atourism network in yuhang District, shows the advantages
of regional tourism.
The Dongmingshan Forest Park is endowed with
north subtropical monsoon climate with a long winter and summer,
short spring an autumn. It is warm and wet and there is plenty of
sunshine here. A peculiar local climate is formed owing to the peculiar
natural environment. It is warm in winter and cool in summer with
a year average temperature of 14.8℃ to 15.7 ℃. It is never too
hot or too cold, so it can be an ideal summer resort, a right place
for holiday and leisure time.
The famous "Liangzhu Culture Remaius"is now applying
to become the world cultural heritage. Dongmingshan Forest park
is just within the area and is now welcoming some new chances for
developing tourism. Abbey of immortals, Generals'Hall, Dragon-eye,
Nine Cave Mountain, Ancient Defile and the Tomb of Shen Kuo.
The population is sparse and the mainly residents
in the Park are former workers in the forest. They are simple, honest
and unspoiled. The roads in the Park that lead to main scenic spots
are open for traffic. Altogether there are 6 roads in the park.
The lane around the mountain and the road for walking are both to
meet the need of the fourists. Such resort for tour and holiday
is now urgently needed since people come to realize the importance
of ecological environment for human being and more and more yearn
for the nature and depend on it.
There are luxuriant vegetation and dense wood
in the Park. There are many types of trees in the Park that make
the park rich and colorful, such as broadleaf trees, coniferous
trees, mixed forest of deciduous trees and broadleaf trees. In the
Park, endless green trees and bamboos, resplendent flowers, blue
water in the ravine, ancient huge trees, zigzag mountain paths…
all the things make the Park so attractive.
DFQ has precious resoursed and couditious for
fourism if quite near from the provincial forest park; the transportation
here is quite convenient, there are abundant natural resources.
At present, the Park is under primitive condition, awaiting the
exploration and development, thus it provides much room for the
development of high level starting point of synthetic forest program.
Since people a realize the importance of
protection environment and ecology, Dongmingshan will take this
advantage for its own development. The future Dongmingshan park
will be the one which is composed of all -round service area, leisure
area, sight-seeing spots and villas.
In a word, in the near future Dongmingshan
Forest Park will be a provincial Park with rational functions, attractive
scenery and complete set. |
